Supporting Orphans and Vulnerable Children.
Uruma Children Foundation was started by Mr. Zihalirwa Kayabu Roger. Born and raised in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and as a result, experienced turmoil during internal conflicts brought about by political instability hailing from the Eastern part of the country. These conflicts left very many families displaced and as a result many people lost lives. Therefore, as a human being and so of a humanitarian worker, Roger started on a project of hope amidst the chaos, he gathered other children in his father's compound and preached to them.
Together with his father' they oftenly visited several orphans and widows, offering them food, clothes and sharing the word of God. Through this project, he preached words of hope and realized that music was the perfect way to heal the children/widows' sorrow.
Upon arriving in Uganda as a refugee, he expanded his vision and drawing inspiration from Holy Scriptures in the Book of of Joshua 1:27 ''Religion that is pure and undefined before God the father is this: to visit orphans in their afflictions and to keep oneself unstained from the world''. Roger officially started started Uruma Children Foundation in 2017.
Helping orphans and other vulnerable persons by involving them in the process of sustainable development across the world through Education.
